The third edition of the Lagos Model United Nations Conference held in 2018, between 13th and 18th of August at the University of Lagos and the theme of the conference was: “Youth and Sustainable Development Goals: Innovative an Collective Action Towards Achieving the SDGs.”
The conference pulled over 200 delegates from over 10 universities and held 9 committee sessions cutting across various topics, coming up with resolutions addressing the topics.
Apart from the committee sessions, the conference held thought provoking panel sessions on some pressing issues in depth. It was interactive without the formality of a committee session to allow the delegates engage the panellists in identifying problems and possible solutions.
The conference ceremonies witnessed notable support from entities such as the United Nations Information Center, Wilson Lemonade, Mr Tonye Cole, Managing Director of Sahara Group and Professor Ademola Abass, Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Overseas Affairs and Investment.
