Nelson Iheanacho is a law student in his final year at the University of Lagos. He has developed a passion towards contemporary issues in the local and global spheres with a drive to spur youth participation in addressing these issues. He has an overwhelming interest in energy, commercial and technology laws and policies, as he believes that these are key areas in achieving the SDGs.
He was a delegate at the Lagos Model United Nations 2016, a Research staff at the Lagos Model United Nations 2017, after which he was appointed as the the Assistant Chief of Staff for Lagos Model United Nations 2018 and subsequently the Chief of Staff at Lagos Model United Nations 2019.
Nelson will be serving on the Secretariat of the Conference as the Secretary General of Lagos Model United Nations 2020 with an unwavering resolve to ensure a wonderful conference experience.
Olufolajimi Otitoola is a 500 level law student of the University of Lagos. He is a Commonwealth Open Source Leader who is passionate about climate change and the environment, human rights, sustainable development, international law and diplomacy. While he believes in the achievement of all 17 SDGs, his favourite SDG is Goal 13 – Climate Action.
He was a delegate in the General Assembly Committee at the LMUN 2017, where he won awards for Distinguished Delegate and Outstanding Position Paper. He was also part of the delegation of the University of Lagos at the National Model United Nations (NMUN), New York 2019 that won the Outstanding Delegation Award. He served as a Researcher and Vice-Chair of UN Environment Assembly at LMUN 2018. He served as Chair of UN Environment Assembly at LMUN 2019.
Olufolajimi will be serving as the Deputy Secretary General of the LMUN 2020.
Semilore Olowokure is a 400 level law student of the University of Lagos. She has a keen interest in finding solutions to public policy and contemporary world issues. This interest fueled her passion for international law and diplomacy.
She began developing her MUN profile at an early stage, when she trained for the Nigeria International Secondary Schools Model United Nations conference in 2015. Her other MUN experiences include being a delegate at LMUN 2017, a delegate at the Cambridge University International Model United Nations in 2018, working as a researcher at LMUN 2018 and serving as the Assistant Chief of Staff of LMUN 2019.
She is currently serving as the Assistant Secretary General of the LMUN 2020 Conference.
Folami Deji Samuel is a final year Civil Engineering student of the Yaba College of Technology. He is an enthusiastic youth, whose major aim is to bring positive influence through leadership to fulfill purpose. He is a member of the Engineering Students Representative Council (ESRC) in his college. He is the first ever Member of the upper secretariat who is not in the faculty of law and in Unilag.
His involvement in LMUN started in 2017 where he was a Delegate in the UNICEF committee, subsequently A 2 time rapporteur in the commission on the status of women (CSW ) and United Nations children’s fund UNICEF in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
He will be serving as the Assistant Secretary General II of LMUN 2020.
Ima-Abasi Emmanuel Ubong-Abasi is a 500 level student of the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos. He has a keen interest in seeing young people contribute actively to solving present day problems and work towards sustainable solutions for the future. This has led him to join a number of student and youth based organizations.
His LMUN journey started in 2016 where he was a delegate at the Security Council representing the United Kingdom. In 2017, he served as the Rapporteur for the Security Council and in 2018, he was the Vice Chair for the Security Council.
This year, he will be serving as the USG Research.
Oloyede Agbolarin is a 500 level student of the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos. He has an stark interest in international relations and affairs. Pursuant to developing this interest, he served as a delegate at LMUN 2016, where he won the Outstanding Position Paper Award. He served as a delegate at LMUN 2017 where he was awarded the Distinguished Delegate Award. He was part of the NMUN NY 2019 team that won the Outstanding Delegation Award, a first from a University from Africa. In addition to these, he has served in several official capacities, including as a researcher for UNICEF at LMUN 2018, Chair for GA3 at LMUN 2019, Rapporteur of the IMO at GIMUN 2019, and Chair of the Secuity council for GIMUN 2020.
He will be serving as the Under Secretary General of the General Assembly at LMUN 2020
Titilope is a final year law student at the University of Lagos. She is a Commonwealth open source leader, who has developed a keen interest in international law and international development over time. She believes that young people are key pieces to solving world problems, and that begins with MUNs.
She started her MUN journey in 2017, where she served as a delegate at LMUN. In 2018, she attended LMUN and won the Outstanding Position Paper Award, Distinguished Delegate Award and Best Speaker Award. In 2019, she was part of the first African team to win an Outstanding Delegation Award at the National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference in New York, where she also won an Outstanding Position Paper Award. She served as the Vice Chair for the UN Women committee at LMUN 2019. Titilope is very excited to serve as the USG for Peace, Security & Human Rights for LMUN 2020, and can’t wait to meet you all at the Conference.
Shittu Rafiat is a 500 level student of law at the University of Lagos. She’s a lawyer in training and a culinary entrepreneur. She’s passionate about changing the world one stomach at a time, so her favourite SDG is Zero Hunger.
She’s a MUN Junkie, having been a delegate 5 times and staff thrice. She was part of the delegation that won Honorable Mention in National Model United Nations DC 2017 and Outstanding Delegation award, the first of it’s kind in Africa in the National Model United Nations NY 2019. She also won an individual award of Best Position Paper.
Having served as Staff at the Lagos Model United Nations 2018 and 2019 as Researcher, Rapporteur and Vicechair respectively.
She will be serving as the Under-Secretary-General of the Development Department Committees at the Lagos Model United Nations 2020 and she believes the conference is an avenue for everyone to experience a rush of different emotions within three days that will forever be in their memories.
Yaqoub Munirah is a final year law student of the University of Lagos, with a keen interest in languages and human rights law. Her Model United Nations experience began in 2018 as a delegate from the Russia at the Lagos Model United Nations Conference, where she won an Outstanding delegation award. She also served as a Researcher at the Lagos Model United Nations Conference 2019.
Munirah will be serving on the Secretariat as the Under Secretary General, Media and Communications, and looks forward to welcoming you all at LMUN 2020.
Femi-Ajala Durodoluwa is a final year law student at the University of Lagos, Nigeria with a passion for the environment and sustainable development. This passion has driven Duro to volunteer for several organisations, leading her to subsequently becoming a staff of International Climate Change Development Initiative (ICCDI). She has also co-founded the Youth Sustainable Development Conference (YSDC), an initiative based on providing solutions for the SDGs.
Duro’s MUN journey started as a delegate at LMUN in Nigeria both in 2017 and 2018. Later on in 2019, she was a delegate at NMUN in New York, leading her to serve as Vice-chair for UNEA, LMUN 2019 and has currently been appointed as the USG-Finance for LMUN 2020. Anifowoshe Ololade is a 500 level law student of the University of Lagos. She has keen interest in the eradication of food scarcity and has engaged in several charity events that majorly focus on food outreach. Her passion for MUNs started in the year 2016, which was the very first edition of LMUN. Ever since, she has grown from being a Delegate in the first year to being a staff in the other editions of LMUN.
She has served in the department of conference services under the Secretary General in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively. In 2019 she became the Under Secretary General Conference services 2.
She currently serves as the Under Secretary General Conference Services I of the LMUN 2020 conference.
Idowu Tanidabioluwa is a 400level student of faculty of law, University of Lagos. She enjoys seeing smiles of people’s faces and this has enabled her be a member of various volunteer groups that promote this.
Her MUN Journey began in 2017 when she was a delegate at the UNICEF committee and she was also a delegate of the National Model United Nations New York, where she bagged the best position paper award as well as a delegation award of Outstanding Delegation.
