The fourth edition of the Lagos Model United Nations Conference held in 2019, between 16th and 18th of August at the University of Lagos and the theme of the conference was ‘The Future We Want: Youth Participation in the Achievement of the 2030 Agenda.’ The Conference had close to 300 delegates from over 15 universities. The conference simulated 10 committed sessions deliberating on various issues ranging from abortion to the migrant crisis and produced quality resolutions addressing the topics.
Recognizing the importance of SDGs, the conference had a side attraction, the SDG workshop drawing active game changers in various SDGs to discuss the prospects and challenges of achieving the SDGs and spurring delegates to actively participate, since the goals have a final timeline of a decade to be achieved.
